Dubai Chess Club Celebrates Achievements of Its Players

Dubai Chess & Culture Club hosted a dinner in honor of its players who achieved remarkable milestones throughout the year. The event was attended by Khalid bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chairman of the club, members of the board, club players, their families.


The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Saeed Yousef Shukri, the club’s General Secretary, followed by remarks from the Chairman. He praised the dedication of the players and their alignment with the board’s vision and the technical team’s guidance, which led to significant accomplishments, including local and Arab championships and several players earning international titles.
Khalid bin Zayed Al Falasi then honored the club’s men team, which won the 2023 National League Championship. The team comprised coaches GM Mikhail Mikashvili and IM Oliver Dimakiling, IM Ibrahim Sultan, FM Ahmed Fareed, and international players Ali Abdulaziz, Khalifa Eissa, Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, and Mesfer Al Mesferi.


Special recognition was also given to WIM Ahlam Rashid Mohammed Habibi for winning the 2024 Arab Championship in the under-18 category and earning the titles of International Master (IM) and FIDE Master (FM). Additionally, the 2024 UAE Women’s Champion, Maryam Eissa Mubarak, was honored for her outstanding achievement.
