UAE team “leads the rapid chess team”

Emirati male and female chess players topped the results of the TEAMS GULF CHESS TOURNAMENT (U14, U18 males and females), which started on April 18th. The tournaments are held at the Sharjah Chess & Cultural Club and continue for two days, followed by blitz and rapid chess individual tournaments.

The UAE team achieved their first victory against Oman with a score of 2-1 in the U18 category, while Qatar and Kuwait tied with 1.5 points each. In the U14 category for boys, our team won against Qatar with a score of 2.5 to 0.5, and Kuwait achieved the same result against Oman.

In U18 categories for females, the UAE team won against the Omani team with a score of 3-0, and also won with the same score against the Qatari team, while the Qatari team managed to win against the Omani team with a score of 2-1. As for U14 category for females, our team won against the Omani team with a score of 3-0, while the Qatari team won against their Omani counterparts with a score of 2-0.
