Ahlam Rashid snatches gold medal in blitz chess for the under-15 and women’s categories

On January 27 and 28, Abu Dhabi hosted the UAE Individual Rapid Chess Championship 2024 , with huge player’s participation nation wide, in all categories (males/females), in addition to the UAE Open Blitz Chess Championship and the Women’s Championship.

Ahlam Rashid Habibi, Dubai Chess Player, secured two gold medals in the U-18 championship with the participation of 64 players, and the women’s championship with the participation of 21 players, winning the first gold medals to the Dubai Chess Club’s 2024 season. Her colleague, player Maryam Issa, was also able to secure silver medal in the women’s championship, bringing the club’s tally at the beginning of the season to two golds and a silver.

Ahlam Rashid is a member of the elite players group at the Dubai Chess Club and participates in the club’s player development program, which was launched in July 2023, with international participation with her colleagues Khalifa Issa Al Balushi and Hamad Issa Al Balushi.
